Even though we are tucked away from the hecticness of the city, we are just two minutes from East Blithedale, close to freeway access, markets, shopping, bike, and hiking trails, yet far enough away to feel like our own little paradise from the insanity of the rest of the world. You will need a car because we are off the beaten path. No campers, vans, or buses, please. Private, SUNNY (FULL southern exposure with beautiful valley views), 2br/1ba with a working wood fireplace (you provide your own firewood or Duraflame), kitchen with a 2-burner induction cooktop, French door refrigerator freezer with external water and internal icemaker, full-sized oven, with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, Cuisinart coffee maker, full knife set, energy-efficient full-sized front-loader washer and dryer (not shared with the landlord), linens, bedding and your own private 30' deck looking out to lovely, peaceful views where deer, wild turkeys, and nature hang out. There's even a private outdoor storage shed for bikes or your other belongings. Private entrance. You are non-cigarette/cigar smokers who will treat this private floor of my home as you would want someone to treat yours - or better. There is no smoking, vaping, or e-cigarette smoking inside the rental. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, a few steps from open space and hiking trails - FULL SUN (southern exposure), and a warm and comfortable environment. Since it is a cul-de-sac, there is plenty of street parking with no 'through' traffic. However, no campers, buses, or vans, please. AMENITIES There are a lot of amenities in this lovely space/flat. If you don't see it listed, just ask. The Bedrooms * 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a newer comfortable queen-sized bed with a foam topper for extra comfort, 1 large dresser with a mirror and 1 armoire, flat-screen television with DirecTV (with HBO), and a large 7' closet for plenty of drawer and hanging room for your clothes. *The second bedroom/office has a daybed with a pop-up trundle, allowing for either one twin bed, two twin beds, or put them together for one king bed. The mattresses are brand new, firm, and comfortable, never used. It also has a large 7' closet, dresser, and portable computer table and computer chair. A full wall of windows for lots of sun and valley views. Use as your office or a 2nd bedroom. *The Bathroom - 1 full-sized bathroom (approx. 9' x 8') with tub/shower combination and beautiful private view into the valley. What a lovely way to get your morning started! Powerful water pressure with a dual-head showerhead. *The Kitchen * The kitchen has new quartzite countertops, a full-sized sink with a garbage disposal, solid maple and alder cabinets, a full-sized French door fridge/freezer with an external water dispenser, a BRAND NEW full-sized wall oven, 2-burner built-in induction cooktop, and a new microwave oven. The kitchen is fully stocked with stove and oven cookware, cooking utensils, silverware, mixing bowls, plates, glasses, blender, juicer, new Cuisinart coffee maker, and more. Please note, there is no dishwasher. Others who have rented previously never found a need for one. With a drop-leaf dining table on one side, a casual butcher block table on the other side (for meals or projects), plenty of chairs, and a quartzite wet bar counter with stools, so there is plenty of room for your eating comfort near the wood-burning fireplace off the dining area. You provide your own wood or Duraflame and comply with Spare-the-Air days. The Living Room - Large, comfortable living room with a 55" flat-screen TV, DirecTV (HBO included - you pay for streaming stations and Pay-Per-View Movies), two sofas, coffee tables, bookcases, SPACE and it is well-lit. There is a FULL-sized energy-efficient washer and dryer solely for your use. This is not shared with the homeowner. Included utilities are based on REASONABLE use of utilities based on 2 years of PG&E and water bills. This means not leaving heat and lights running when not home and not needed. It's just a matter of being mindful and not doing loads of laundry every day, turning off heat and lights when not in use. The Deck - 30' deck, with lots of sun and natural light. The land (my "backyard") offers privacy and south-facing valley views, nature, and trees with plenty of seating. You're in one of the sunniest spots of Mill Valley! The Bike/Storage Shed - The shed is just outside the front door at the stairs, making it easy to store and access bikes or other items you may want to store without dragging dirt into the house. It will comfortably hold 3 adult bikes, helmets, and other items. You provide the padlocks. Other Amenities * Up against open space - with great walking/hiking trails for you and your quiet, well-trained dog whom I would want to meet before accepting as a renter. * Wireless high-speed internet included on a secured network. Network extenders are in the rental for optimum connectivity. * Towels and linens supplied. * Full set of dishes, stovetop cookware, oven cookware, prep dishes, utensils, juicer, and cooking items, spices supplied. * Ample street parking in this safe and quiet neighborhood; however, no huge trucks, vans, buses, campers, or motorhomes, please. There are two floors to this house. Both are separate. The owner lives in the floor at street level. The renter/tenant lives in the floor below. Tenant will access the front door from stairs outside the house for private entry. REASONABLE use of utilities is included - wifi, DirecTV, heat, electric. If tenant exceeds reasonable use, there will be additional costs. This simply means not washing and drying clothes daily, not leaving heat on 24/7 or at high temps - reasonable use. This is a cul de sac. There is ample street parking - but no oversized vans, campers or trucks. I would encourage renters insurance.
