This Cully cottage could be the perfect temporary home base. The Home: 3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms | ~2,000 sq ft Main floor: 2 bedrooms, updated kitchen and bathroom, living room with wood-burning fireplace Upstairs: flexible bonus space primary bedroom, home office, or both Partially finished basement with separate exterior entrance (storage, guests, hobbies) Spacious yard with covered patios Detached garage + off-street parking The Details: Rent: $1,600/month ($5600 total) Tenant pays utilities except garbage (tenant is responsible for any charges for excess trash and such) Indoor pets welcome (NOTE: the yard is fenced but the fencing is older and not reliable for containing dogs) Available: July 15 (must be able to take possession very quickly thereafter) Yard is currently in need of attention. It will be mowed prior to tenancy but tenant is responsible for ongoing maintenance. Why is the rent so cheap? This is a short-term rental only and the lease will be through the end of October and all rent will be collected up front (I am adding this parenthetically that I can extend it to November 15 upon mutual agreement) The property is in a foreclosure procedure and possession of the property will transfer after this period expire so it would not impact the tenancy. If the tenant desires to potentially stay longer, that's between you and the next owner. Screening criteria: Since the rent is being collected upfront, I am waiving a credit check Evictions within the past 3 years for causes other than nonpayment of rent (e.g., lease violations, property damage, nuisance behavior) are grounds for denial. Documented history of property damage beyond normal wear and tear Negative landlord references indicating lease violations, disturbances, or threats to neighbors Lease is July 15-October 31. $1600 a month - due in advance. This house is in a default process and owner would prefer to have a tenant during that time and that is reflected in the low rent. The transfer of the property will occur after the lease period and should not impact the tenancy. If you are interested, please reply with a brief intro. The current tenants have asked for no showings until they vacate the unit on July 10th. While applications will be accepted sooner, no fees will be charged unless I am moving forward with your application Yard is currently in need of attention. Tenant is responsible for ongoing maintenance.
