Monthly Furnished Rentals For 30 Nights Or More The Lodge at Tangled Oaks is a superbly converted barn on a six acre property on Monterey Bay. Positioned half way between Monterey and Santa Cruz, Tangled Oaks is directly inland from Moss Landing at the center of the bay. The stand alone 1000 square foot Lodge is finished in shiplap walls and tongue and groove ceilings. It has a full kitchen and bath as well as a fenced back yard suitable for dogs. The Lodge is regarded as a warm, welcoming place in a beautiful California country setting. The space The Lodge at Tangled Oaks provides a peaceful retreat with amenities for singles, couples, small families and dogs. With a full kitchen and bath, ample living areas, office, dining and patio areas, it provides a Zen like atmosphere perfect for rest and recovery to the realities of daily life. Guest access There is coded entry to the building that is individualized for each guest. Guests are free to walk around the property. There is a building with gym equipment that is off limits to guests. The Tangled Oaks location is an easy drive to all of the area's attractions. To the south Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel and beyond to the Big Sur coast. To the north are Santa Cruz, Davenport, Ann Nuevo, Pescadero, and Half Moon Bay. Between Tangled Oaks and Monterey Bay are Elkhorn Slough, Moss Landing, Castroville, and Watsonville, as well as many small beach cities. Inland from Tangled Oaks are Salinas, Gilroy, Morgan Hill, San Juan Bautista, Hollister, and Pentacles National Monument. There are seemingly endless sight seeing, kayaking, hiking, surfing, and cycling opportunities. Come and join in the fun! Other things to note Children are welcome with the understanding that full time supervision is required. Minors under the age of 16 are not permitted to remain in the lodge unattended. Teenagers age 16 or 17 are welcome to stay after verbal agreement between Alex or Nancy Adams and the minor's parent or legal guardian, in addition to written permission from that guardian. Please note, we welcome little one's but, this is not a "baby proofed" environment (i.e., no child proofed cupboards, uneven terrain in the backyard area). While we are happy to host well behaved dogs, we cannot accept cats. This is the country and there are many cats living in the area, including domestic, feral and wildcats.
