Nestled in a canyon above the Yolanda neighborhood of San Anselmo, the house is a twenty minute walk to downtown San Anselmo to the east and downtown Fairfax to the west (a five minute drive to either town). Miles of world-class hiking and biking trails right outside the door. Located in the prized Ross Valley School District, our designated elementary school is Wade Thomas. The real star of the environment is the natural beauty that surrounds the house. Watch the squirrels play tag on the branches of the arching Alianthus tree from the picture window in the living-room or step onto one of the decks to listen to the great horned owls hoot across the canyon in the evening. Or take a walk five minutes up onto the ridge and get a sweeping view of the entire San Francisco Bay. The kitchen is large and remodeled, with a Wolf stove and other stainless steel appliances. The house is primarily heated by an efficient forced-air furnace, with an additional heat pump on the top floor, providing both heat and AC. There are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms downstairs, and one bedroom and powder room on the upper floor with the living room and kitchen. The upstairs bedroom would also make an excellent office or playroom. There are skylights upstairs making for beautiful natural light. I live in an in-law in the bottom floor of the house. My bedroom is under the carport so there is no sound communication during sleeping hours (and very little during waking hours). I'm quiet and live alone. While there is no fenced yard, there are two decks. It says below that there's a fireplace but there isn't (I can't figure out now to edit it). There is a three-car carport. Two spots are dedicated to the rental. Parking in the neighborhood is limited. The road to the house is winding and narrow as you go up the hill. That said, my guests acclimate quickly to the drive. Looking for a twelve month lease. Open to shorter if it's rented furnished. No smoking inside the house.
