The patio area acts as an outdoor room, great for Santa Barbara style living. Entry is into a large kitchen -- with full-sized appliances, for the cooks out there. The apartment has north facing light, for the artists out there. The apartment has 1 bedroom, with a full sized closet and mirrored doors, a small office or media room, and a bathroom with a large tiled shower. There are lots of windows throughout. It's ideal for one or two people who live quietly. It is a quiet neighborhood. The apartment is attached to the house, which is all one story. There is insulation, extra wall board, and a closet separating the two. The owner lives in the house. The Mesa is it's own 'hood. There is a sense of community here. Down the hill is the Mesa shopping area with at least fifteen places to eat, plus two coffee houses -- great Vegan, Thai, Japanese, Mexican, Bagels, Beer, Pizza, and American spots. We have Mesa Produce with fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, and specialty items like jams & jellies. There's Little Things Bakery, Lazy Acres, Montecito Pet, the Montecito Bank & Trust Mesa branch, a couple of bars, a UPS mailbox store, CVS store, Vons, and a clean, efficient laundromat. Also Mesa Fuel with gas and a car wash, the Fire Station, and a community garden. It's an active, friendly neighborhood. The area is great for walking, biking, etc. Being on the Mesa, the beach is just down the hill. Shoreline Park is past Lazy Acres, on the cliffs overlooking the ocean. SB City College is close by, as is the Harbor with all of it's activity. The Fish Market there, the breakwater with it's flags, and the restaurants are great. Elings Park, with it's bike track, playing fields, long walking trails for people and dogs, etc. is also nearby. It's a 4 minute drive into downtown or to City College, 5 to the Harbor, and 10 to uptown. There are several nearby stops for the bus. I require a responsible, relatively quiet, person(s) who will take good care of the apartment, and who fits in well with the neighbors.
