You are welcome to share the solar-heated pool, as well as fruit, vegetable and herb gardens that provide captivating views of the Sonoma Mountains. The setting is 7 minutes from downtown Sebastopol, 18 minutes from Bodega Bay and 30 minutes from the Russian River wineries. The monthly rent of $3,400 includes all utilities, including high-speedwifi. The lease is short term. No pets, please. From day one, the landlords were completely respectful of my privacy while still being warm, gracious, and welcoming the kind of hosts who make you feel instantly at home. Every request I had, big or small, was met with a quick and thoughtful response. The setting itself was extraordinary. Waking up each morning surrounded by redwoods and mountain views, with birdsong drifting through the air, never got old. The grounds are lovingly planted with olive, lemon, lime, apple, pear, pomegranate, and other fruit trees, along with flowers, herbs, and vegetable gardens it felt more like a private retreat than a rental. The solar-heated pool and pool area are truly resort-quality, and the carriage house itself has a magical, treehouse-like feel, generously furnished with everything I needed for comfortable, two-level living, complete with my own entrance and plenty of parking. The location couldn't be better: tucked at the end of a quiet country lane, yet just minutes from downtown Sebastopol, with easy access to the coast and the Russian River area all while enjoying West County's famously gentle climate. Leaving was genuinely heartbreaking. If I ever have the chance to rent this property again, I won't hesitate for a moment.
