This cozy cottage is ideal for those seeking a tranquil temporary home. At the end of a rural (paved road) behind a gate, down a 200 foot driveway sits this quiet , compact home. Classic Tuolumne county setting with deer, turkeys and oak trees. It's a safe environment. Perfect candidate(s) would be quiet, respectful of the surroundings and the interior. The main floor has a small bathroom: toilet, vanity and shower stall. The kitchenette has a sink, 4 burner oven (no hood , please no cooking bacon) and a microwave. There is a five foot wooden table, a sofa bed , 2 closets for your belongings and one closet w/ a TV. Netflix and Prime on the Roku. French doors open to the deck w/ table and seating. There is a propane heater that looks like a fireplace. Upstairs (14 stairs) is the sleeping loft. There is no door. Queen sized bed with a mattress that is under a year old. In this room is a mini split for bot warming and cooling. The grounds are not manicured, it's more like an oak forest. There is a vegetable garden on the property. Last year there were tomatoes and cucumbers to share. The owner lives on the property with one senior dog and 2 cats. The drive to downtown is between 17-20 minutes. This is a short term rental. September 15th thru December 2026. 2 people maximum. Most of the year the property is a vacation rental with high turnover. There is a carport. It is furnished. No smoking/vaping indoors. No pets. First and last month required on move in day. The main floor has a propane heater, upstairs has a mini split for both warming and cooling comfort. The landlord lives on property ( separate home). Tenant can share washer/dryer in owner's home by appointment. WiFi included.WiFi reliable. Tenant is expected to recycle and compost. Landlord sometimes needs to access cabin for cleaning gutters and tenant can ask landlord for monthly cleaning (no fee). Landlord can provide bedding for queen sized bed or tenant may supply their own. Tenant understands that this property is in a high wild fire risk area.
