A GREAT ESCAPE, MOUNTAIN RETREAT, UNPLUG, BORDERS BLM. Wonderful property for someone who enjoys the outdoors. Hike, hunt, explore and play on your own wooded land or the thousands of acres of adjoining BLM. The property is wooded with a diverse forest of Spruce, Pine, Fir and Aspen trees with numerous small and large rock outcroppings. Wildlife known to visit the property include Elk, Mule Deer, Turkey, Bear, Bobcat, and Cougar. The famed trout fishing and rafting on the Arkansas River is just a short drive down the mountain. Salida and Canon City are about an hours drive for an urban fix but Cotopaxi has a small store that carries most of the essentials. With very limited cell phone service this is a great place to unplug however there is underground land line service available at the property. At this time there is no grid electric so an alternative source of power would be required if needed..
