INSIDE THE VILLA We call this place Villa Alessa, and it is our dream home. We updated it with high-end finishes like Travertine and saltillo tiles, hardwood floors, Venetian plastered walls and wrought-iron lighting and railings. Here, the kitchen is no afterthought. Designed for the gourmet chef, it faces grand views of the mountains and high-end appliances. An impressive wrought-iron chandelier lights the giant center island with prep sink. Work your culinary magic, then present it in the adjacent formal dining room. The 3rd floor master suite indulges with a California King Bed, a separate sitting room, a fireplace, and a private balcony. The en-suite bath is just as heavenly: find a whirlpool tub and a Roman-style shower with dual showerheads. The 4th bedroom, on the ground floor, has its own access to the pool area and features a queen bed as well as its own bathroom. A Sonos Sound System and Wireless Internet add to the experience. THE LOCATION In our quiet neighborhood and on our own secluded lot, it?s easy to feel you?re far from the bustle of downtown. But, in fact, you?re just 5 to 10 minutes away from nearly every Santa Barbara highlight, from shopping to fine dining to strolling around Stearns Wharf.
