Homestead-able 1560 sq ft Cottage, centered in 13 acres, hidden with a nice meadow behind for a hangar. There's a pond next to Cottage, & a spot just west of pond for a nice home to be built overlooking the Pond, & Meadow for hangar to the West, at least that is how I was going to build my forever home. It was manicured with Azelia & all sorts of flowering plants but that needs to be cleaned manicured. It was the original fly in community builders home. It has an old grape trellace on the southern side producing lots of fruit. Grapes are sweet for eating, or making wine. There are Pear trees. As well a small Persimmons that has been producing. It is commutable through JAX airport at 45 minutes to covered parking at Wally Park for airline employees at $50 a month. Have no problem commuting to EWR. Approximately 1100 foot as measured on Google maps directly on the beginning East end of lighted grass strip. FD27 Cuyler Field airport is a very pretty, private fly in community with a smooth nicely manicured 3200 foot lighted grass runway landing airstrip. Would be an excellent place to get a home in Florida and start building your homestead / Florida residency towards eventual retirement if you are still out flying the airways. 37 minutes at 60 mph east on I-10 to downtown Jacksonville hospitals etc. Yellow balloons in pictures northwest to southwest are from walking the creek leaving bread crumbs of creek on google maps. Two balloons upper left & right are the northern corners. The southern aprox 1,100 runway frontage shown by a blue line in one of the pictures shows the entire border. The only property at the fly in community which has its own driveway from the main road shown in one picture as a blue curved line from east at middle of property, or come in main community electric security gated entrance on north side of grass runway. Google map address is incorrect, as there is a county placed correct street sign for Cuyler Way on the road that can be seen on Google street view at the curved blue line in one of the photos. If you are an airplane person and have been looking to live in a fly in community and build your dream home and hangar on a secluded quiet property within easy commuting distance to a big city like Jacksonville which is a financial and insurance hub, with very good hospitals including the Mayo Clinic, and easily commutable as an airline pilot with Florida taxes, then you know what this is. If you want to live on a pretty property then this can be what you are looking for. The closest other NICE property on a fly in community is 1 hour 25 minutes from JAX through traffic to the southwest, or way west on I-10, or another 1hr 25 through back roads southwest almost to GNV. Has almost 1,100 feet (if not over) of runway frontage, with the creek, and pond. If you are not, familiar with Airplane Communities or Fly In Communities where property doesn't meet local comps, and is entirely a different living experience than the local areas, I am not inclined to come down and show it. It is owned outright, I don't need to sell it, and the price is not negotiable. Don't call me to tell me that farm land in the area goes for 10k an acre. This is not farm land. This is a very hard to find situation, close to a large metropolitan area, on a 3,200 for grass runway, where you can own your own hangars. Hangars at KCRG are $600.00 a month to rent, not own. Not including last and security and there is a long long waiting list. KFXE in 1993 was 750 a month. Good Luck with your interests. I bought this just in case I had to move my hangar. My plans have changed. But the money can just sit here, or sit in the bank. I don't care. Just no sense in having it if my plans have changed. If a true aviator you can figure out the maps in the pictures to see the position on the Zillow maps for the address is incorrect compared to the property location on the field.
