This part of Seattle is very walkable. Interlaken Park and Washington Park Arboretum are just a short distance away. A favorite walk of locals is the 3 mile walk around Portage Bay, which takes you through the University of Washington Medical Center and past such local eating establishments as Cafe Verde and Saint Bread. On the last leg of the walk, you will pass over University Bridge often looking down at sculls silently gliding through the water. On a clear day, there is a wonderful view from the bridge of Mount Ranier. The residence is just a 10-minute drive to downtown Seattle being well less than 4 miles away. There is a city bus stop a block from the house and Uber is abundant in Seattle.
