"South Hill" is the highest elevation point in the immediate area, and is located on the ranch. A small creek called Cabin Creek runs through the ranch, along with numerous springs, including a warm spring. The ranch has legal access from the a county maintained gravel road called Pescadero Road, and all services including a small county airport are located just south of the ranch in or around the city of Montpelier. The ranch offers excellent habitat for moose, elk, and deer, all of which inhabit the ranch during most seasons of the year.
