This newly renovated apartment is well-designed - peaceful, sunny, spacious and very comfortable. There is a lot of space for 2 people, and the apartment is actually suitable for a family.[ Layout: ]Downstairs is the kitchen, a large living room area and a dining room area, all with beautiful hardwood floors and big windows that let in a lot of sun. A closed off patio area is out back, with a gorgeous plum tree and an area to grow flowers.Upstairs has nice fluffy carpeting and consists of the master bedroom (with massive walk-in closet), a second slightly smaller bedroom (with smaller closet) and the bathroom.[ Community: ]As part of the Hillsdale Garden community, the townhouse is in a nicely maintained and extremely safe area. Community members have access to the swimming pool and barbeque areas provided for residents.There is a 24-hour repair hotline that we have used once and the repairmen came within hours and fixed several problems within 20 minutes. Dealing with the front desk has been really easy and they are typically very friendly and accommodating. We have never had any issues with either our neighbors or the management.[ Location: ]Literally two blocks away is the huge Hillsdale Shopping Center, with several major stores (Sears, Macy's, Nordstrom, H&M, The Gap, Ann Taylor, Forever 21, Chico's, Banana Republic, etc.) and restaurants (The Counter, Romano's Macaroni Grill, Boudin, California Pizza Kitchen, Outback Steakhouse, etc.). Not to mention there is a Trader Joe's here!! On average, these shops are about a 10 minute walk from the front door.Otherwise, this place is in a great central location on the Peninsula, being 5 minutes drive from the 101 and the 92, and 10 minutes to the 280 - meaning that if you have a car, you can quickly get on the highways to the North, East or South Bay. As for public transport, the house is an 8-minute walk to the Hillsdale Caltrain station (the bullet trains stop here, which take 26 minutes to get to San Francisco), and there are several bus stops for various routes on SamTrans and AC Transit within a few blocks of here.
