You enter through a lakeside screened porch, roomy enough for 8-10 to dine in mild weather and handy for firewood and winter paraphernalia when the snow falls. Then, through a dutch door, find a modern kitchen to the right and dining nook to the left, the both open to each other and to the lake through a large plate glass window. Outside, in addition to the bluestone patio, there is a small sun deck for grilling, an easy acre of green lawn for play, wooden steps to the lake for swimming (the water is fine!), a place to launch your own raft or boat to fish or just drift (no motors allowed) . Enjoy the shade of crabapple, oak, maple, lilac. Watch for the deer, the fox, the turtles, the beaver. Listen to the frogs and the geese in migration. The 2 mile road circumventing the lake is favored by the lake community for walking and biking. And the lake when it freezes takes on new life with iceboats, cross-country skiing and ice fishing.
