Over the years there have been family reunions, bike tour groups, birthday parties, wedding gatherings, lake association potlucks, veggie gardening/cooking, and chorus retreats. Many hours spent in the water and on the deck. You can relax knowing that Hunn's Lake is a weed-free, fresh water lake, tested annually to insure safe swimming, fishing, canoeing, paddle boarding and kayaking. This is a perfect place to have a family or friends gathering. Or simply relax. We provide all water supplies, including paddles, life jackets, and swimming noodles. No gas motor boats are allowed on this lake, quiet electric motors only. There is a lovely 2 mile walk around the lake for walking or running. Remote working office space is included above the garage (separate from house) with high speed internet. Owner pays electric/internet. Tenant is responsible for cleaning, putting garbage into outside bins and filling propane tank for the grill. Well behaved pets are welcome with a $100 refundable damage deposit. Clean up of all pet waste anywhere on the grounds is the tenant's responsibility. Smoking is not allowed inside the house. July, August, September and October are $6,000/month. Minimum rental is one month and is not considered a short term rental by the town. We are happy to rent for MORE than one month. Easy access from NYC on Metro North at Wassaic (22 min from the house), 1 hour 45 minutes drive from Manhattan on the Taconic Parkway. Driving time can vary.
