Listen to the birds while you enjoy fishing frontage on the pond or paddle your kayaks and canoes out the canal to Ocqueoc Lake. If you have bigger boats, the launch to Ocqueoc Lake is only a block away and after launch you can park your boat at the Ocqueoc Heights neighborhood access or you can access Lake Huron by the Hammond Bay Trading post deep water launch which is only 2 miles further east down Ocqueoc Road and US 23. Ocqueoc Lake is a fantastic no-wake peaceful fishing lake. Known for its great fishing and its extensive undeveloped state land shore line which provides good access to public hunting land. The Ocqueoc River upstream of the lake is a fantastic trout stream and flows through some amazing country. Below the lake is great steelhead and salmon fishing, stream goes out to Lake Huron. Snowmobile trails at the turn at Cheboygan Plains and circle Drive.
