Welcome to Faro Drive. I first bought this condo back in early 2021 and lived here for nearly 4 years. In that time, I fell in love with the space and it still holds a soft spot in my heart. If you're looking for a calm, quiet place that's still close to everything, my condo is a perfect place for you. This old Austin condo complex was built back in the 1980s and remains a quiet reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a single-story building, so no stairs or elevators to worry about. The location is hard to beat; situated just off East Riverside, the condo is only about 10 minutes from both downtown Austin and the airport, making it the perfect place to get into town or get out of Dodge. There's a bus stop right at the top of the street, at Faro & Riverside, so transit is readily available. If you're a live-music lover, Emo's is only a few blocks away, and the River Park complex is slated to open in the fall of 2027, a short 5-10 minute walk from the condo. For daily utilities, the condo is less than a mile away from HEB and has convenience stores (gas stations & a CVS) within a few blocks as well. For public amenities, the Riverside Drive branch of the Austin Public Library is just down the street, and Roy G. Guerrero Colorado River Metro Park and the Colorado River Park Wildlife Sanctuary are practically neighbors. If you're into walking or biking, you're a short trip from the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail and its boardwalk along Lady Bird Lake. The condo complex itself is quiet and secluded - I lived there for nearly 4 years and never once heard my neighbors. Coming home from work always felt like stepping into a quiet oasis. There are 100 units across the property, catering in large part to young professionals and retirees. The grounds are covered in lovely live oak trees, providing a soft, quiet, and shaded environment, and there's a nice green space for playing with your dog. The community has a pool with a shallow 3-5ft wading area and an 8 ft plunge section too - a rarity compared to most apartment complexes. The unit itself is cozy - 736 sq ft, 1 bed, 1 bath - with vaulted ceilings in both the living room and bedroom. It has both washer & dryer in-unit, central air and heat, and the kitchen is fully appointed with fridge, dishwasher, disposal, microwave, and an electric range. The unit faces east-west, meaning it gets great morning & afternoon sun, perfect for plant-lovers (like me). The flooring is a nice dark faux-wood vinyl throughout the living, dining, and kitchen areas, while the bathroom is tiled. Besides the lighting, one of my favorite features is the bay window in the bedroom, an architectural element you don't see very often in Austin. The unit also features a dedicated, uncovered parking space. As far as internet goes, Spectrum was the option when I lived there, though I'd double-check what's available now since it's been a few years. Pets are more than welcome here - just a one-time $100 pet fee. I'm looking for a 12-month lease at $1,500/month, though I'm open to a 6-month term at $1,750/month if that works better for your situation. First and last month's rent due at move-in.
