It seasonally contains other herbs including cilantro and thyme.They have generally maintained a vegetable garden as well. What is in it at any given time changes considerably with the seasons. They have successfully grown or are now growing: three kinds of kale, cabbage, bok choy, rutabagas, artichokes, Asian greens, Napa Cabbage, spinach, okra, chard, turnips, edible and ornamental chrysanthemums, carrots, beets, various radishes, many kinds of cucumbers, peppers, many varieties of squash, melons, asparagus, and many others.There is an actively operating compost pile on the property. They entertain an abundance of hummingbirds, partly because of the flowers that are ever present and partly because we feed them.
