Everything's cool man, but I have been trying to find some real studio space for a friend here on the Westside like what you did for Lou Danziger, and like there is nothing out here, I mean nada, zilch. There's a vacant lot over on 12th Street Chuck, why the hell don't you just build it? Hey man, why don't WE just build it?" However it happened, a grand idea was born fueled by artist's needs, & an architect's vision of space. Gehry was swamped with work at the time, so he and Arnoldi turned to architect Aleks Istanbullu, who Gehry knew would "get it", and effectively translate their ideas regarding the use of space and materials.
