    Original homeowner: About this community... Preston's gated private community is the last of its kind in this area, as no more gated community designs are made available in Cornelius. This area of Cornelius is the CLOSEST 'lake access community' there is to Charlotte (off of exit 25). The Preston community has one of the lowest monthly HOA dues offered in the Lake Norman area as well making this an easy choice. On this specific house and design features: First, this house lot location in the community is a premium lot choice due to its proximity to Lake Norman (beach), community pool and tennis court which is all within 150 yards of the driveway. Also, this lot location in our community (an upgrade) is one of few in this community that is located next to our neighborhood pond. The Pond has a lighted fountain for late evening entertainment on the back deck . There are multiple house upgrades including stamped stone concrete driveway and sidewalk, custom tile work throughout the main floor, and kitchen cabinet upgrades as well! Also, a new roof with new gutters installed and a new water heater, all less than 5 years ago. New plush carpet was installed less than 3 years ago. Additional add-ons include radiant barrier protection put into both attic spaces and a semi finished walk-in attic space with flooring and shelving for extra huge amounts of storage (full length of the house in the attic). This was a massive energy upgrade for this house, making it more useful and energy efficient, saving over 1/3 on AC energy costs during the hot months. Also, the crawl space has huge storage capacity as well. Also, in the crawl space under the patio deck, the space qualifies as a 'storm shelter' (the only one in this community. Other upgrades to this house is its ground sprinkler system, as well as the rock and stone work around the raised beds and house trim. Another item of note: When I had this home built, the original floor plans was for a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath (and can be restructured relatively inexpensively with easy access to plumbing in the crawl space if one desires to convert this second living room (it’s the Pool room in the images) back into a 4th bedroom and bath. This mod has worked out really well for entertaining, and accommodating larger family visits etc. This house is going to be a great purchase.
