This listing is for the 2BR, 1BA ADU over the garage. Please note that it is available as a month-by-month rental only. Longer-term leases will be considered on a case-by-case basis. This 2BR unit was recently remodeled, and some of the furniture shown in the walkthrough has been swapped - there is a new executive desk in the living room instead of the small table and chairs, and a new King bedroom set in the front bedroom. This space is a sunny, stylish dream with beautiful, high-end furnishings and art. It is fully equipped with a washer and dryer, a spacious kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bathroom with double vanities and a private toilet/bath area. The kitchen is equipped with all the gear you'll need for your stay. The front bedroom has a Nectar king-size bed set with a dresser and standard closet storage, and the back bedroom has a queen bed set with side tables and a dresser. The back bedroom closet is outfitted with a desk and chair, and a stacked washer/dryer. All linens and towels and starter supplies are provided. What you will love about this neighborhood: Nestled about 150 yards from the stunning Deschutes River and its scenic trail access, this custom home offers an unparalleled location for its bike- and walk-ability. There is no need for a car if you prefer to travel on foot, by bike, or by watercraft (paddleboards and tubes provided for free tenant use). This gem of a neighborhood, surrounded by pines and river trails, is peaceful, full of nature and the smell of pines, and still a quick walk (about 1 mi, along the river or through Farewell Bend Park) to Old Mill's vibrant scene, including many unique restaurants and shops. Summertime Activities: This neighborhood is a coveted destination for its close proximity to the Hayden Homes Amphitheater, which hosts big-ticket concerts and also eclectic, lesser-known artists throughout the warmer months. Outside on the patio, you can hear the concerts from the comfort of your own space, or you can put a paddleboard or kayak into the river and float down to the venue to enjoy the music at sunset from the river. Floating and paddling from the Deschutes River trailhead entrance is a big part of what makes this home and neighborhood so special! The trailhead parking lot is directly across the quiet Alderwood Circle from our home. At that point in the river, you can get in tubes and float to the Farewell Bend Park if you don't mind some mild (fun!!) rapids or put in a few more yards downstream for a gentle ride, then hike back through the neighborhood and do it again, if you like! It's a 20 40-minute loop, depending on how fast you feel like floating. From the Farewell Bend Park, you can float much further into town, all the way to Mirror Pond, through the "surf wave" area where advanced surfers enjoy a challenging ride on a manmade wave! This "river surf wave" attracts many spectators and can be seen from McKay Park or the bridge overlooking the park. Wintertime Activities: Bend is home to the largest ski resort in Oregon, and the 7th largest in North America! This home is situated on the closer side of town to the mountain, where it will take you all of about 20-30 minutes door to door, through the scenic, old-growth pines. Mt. Bachelor is a must-see in every season, but if you are a winter sports enthusiast like we are, you will certainly enjoy its early opening and late (usually May!) span - some of the longest and best seasons of skiing available in the world. Additional Information There is a short-term rental casita out front, available if you require up to FOUR (4) extra guests or visitors, but it is not part of this listing and is only available on a separate platform (Airbnb). The main house is also available on a separate Zillow listing, and will be available during certain dates 30 days between June and August 2027. There are several free parking spaces available in the driveway, as well as additional parking for guests. Inside the garage, there is one parking space with 220V EV charging available (Tesla & Audi adapters included). The other side of the garage is a gym, pictured in the Zillow walkthrough (coming soon). Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate tenants with aggressive pets, as we have two of our own on the property - one cat and one dog. We are happy to meet and greet your pet(s) and see if they'd be a good fit for the situation. In other words, your animals can be accepted on a case-by-case basis. There is a large, fenced dog run with a gate along the back side of our home that will be shared with our old boxer lab, Saint. I'd be happy to accept up to two declawed house cats for an extra cleaning fee at the end of your lease term, but the furniture in the ADU is very expensive, and our cat Yuki is quite territorial with other cats, so we cannot accept any indoor/outdoor cats. All utilities are included.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Zillow. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
