The rental includes nearly the entire first level of the townhome, including a cozy den space with a gas fireplace and a large central area that could serve as a bedroom, rec room, or other multipurpose area. The space has good natural light (for a basement) through several windows around the perimeter. There is a private entrance and a private ensuite bathroom, which has been fully renovated with tile shower and flooring. The townhome is an end unit meaning there is direct access to the walkout entrance around the side of the unit. Laundry (fairly new front-loading units) is shared and is also located on the same level. The kitchen, dining, and living areas are all located on the main (2nd) level and are shared but are usually unoccupied. There is a large deck area for lounging, grilling, or just hanging out. The rental also includes a private, dedicated parking space out front with minimal stairs. Cascades is a large planned community located in northern Sterling, Virginia, between Route 7 and the Potomac River. The rental will include close proximity and access to numerous trails, parks (incl. Algonkian Regional Park), tennis courts, and gym facilities with key card access for residents. The townhome is located in a very quiet block with no major roads or businesses nearby. Applicant should be a young working professional with good credit/financial history and no pets or children. A background check will take place prior to leasing. There is no gender preference. Applicant should be quiet, clean, and respectful of the common areas in the townhome. Lease is a 1-year term. Included is everything except utilities.

I (the other primary housemate) occupy the upper (3rd) level and have lived here since 2024. I am a federal scientist and am usually in-office during the week. I rarely have guests over, and I keep the house fairly clean.
