Lovingly updated third floor apartment in Victorian house with a mix of historic charm and modern amenities. Hardwood floors throughout. Washer and dryer are in the basement and available to all tenants. Historic house and third floor space yield some unique ceiling spaces - if you're on the basketball team, you might be too tall. :) Property is located on a beautiful, tree-lined street and is walking distance from downtown Cambridge and two blocks from the Choptank River. Notes about the space: Kitchen: Includes eating nook, restored 1930's era cabinets, dishwasher and garbage disposal and of course a modern stove/oven. Livingroom: Restored hardwood floors, cute reading nook and space for your couch/futon and TV. Bedroom: Restored hardwood floors and desk nook. Bathroom: The shower/bathtub has a low ceiling which translates to baths or sitting AC: New, high efficiency heat pump operates down to -22 degrees. Extra AC window unit in the bedroom for the really hot days. Home is legally subdivided into four apartments, each with separate space, entrances and utilities. Owners live in DC and visit on weekends. We have been using the 3rd floor apartment and redecorated it for ourselves but we are forced to move to the first floor apartment to repair damaged floors. We love pets but are going to be a lot more cautious in the future - the reason we have to switch apartments it because a prior tenant had a dog/cat and significantly damaged the hardwood floors of a first floor apartment. So lets have a careful pet conversation. We are looking for very responsible tenants who are quiet and respectful of the house and neighborhood. Our goal is to find someone with a 740+ credit score, stable income of 4x rent, strong prior references and a clean background check. Owner pays water. Tenant pays electricity and cable/wifi. We are looking for a long-term tenant and would prefer lease term of at least one year. We would like tenants to get renters insurance. It isn't that expensive and can be incredibly helpful.
