I live in a very convenient location as a grocery store, restaurants, coffee shops, REI, bookstores, etc are all less than 5 minutes away. All major hospitals are less than 10 minutes away! My neighborhood (Spenard) is full of delicious restaurants of every kind (Pho, Thai, Mexican, Classic American, Sushi, even Himalayan) and lots of wonderful activities (yoga studio called Anchorage Yoga, cycle studio, gyms, bars, a movie theater called Bears Tooth, etc).
