    What's special

Home is rebuilt from the floor joist up, finished 2011. Everything. All new and modern and all rooms have been enlarged. Silestone Counters in both bathrooms and kitchen. All new everything in kitchen including cabinets, wrap around and wine cabinet counter. Crown molding throughout upstairs. All new sub-floors and red oak hardwood floor upstairs (done by company that does basketball courts, solid and no squeaks) All rooms have lighted closets and all closets have Elfa shelving and hangers. Pleasant earth-tone Benjamin Moore colors throughout. Bathrooms up and downstairs have imported Spanish tile floors. Open soaking tub for two and glass door shower stall downstairs. New 50 gallon insulated hot water heater is best than can be purchased. Gravity Glas sink on silestone upstairs. Modern faucets, new large bathtub and all matching Kohler hardware in upstairs bath. All matching Kohler hardware and faucets in downstairs bath and shower. Recessed lighting in kitchen and every room downstairs. This house has 2 master bedrooms, downstairs has walk through closet with Elfa on both walls. Downstairs media room has oxygen free in-ceiling wiring to 4 Bowers and Wilkens speakers in ceiling and subwoofer wiring. All this professionally done for a 7.1 surround sound system. We have a 51 inch plasma TV that fits with plenty of room to spare. All electrical wiring is new, all with ground and new best grade outlets. Breaker Panel electrical box is all new and upgraded. Outlets are all on new 12-3 gauge Romex copper. 20 Amp outlets, 30 Amp for air conditioning, 8 gauge wiring to new oven in kitchen, etc. etc. all done by master electrician. These houses were built with very small rooms; we changed wall positions and re-designed rooms for maximum space. New large deck with pergola out of the back door. Built on 13 piers that are deeper than 3 feet. Largest back yard in this part of neighborhood. Completely surrounded by 8 and 7 foot high wood fence and gates on both sides of house. Perfect for dogs. We have cats that stay inside the back yard. Our home is built for energy usage better than a "green" home. We use about half the energy as used by official green homes that are identical to ours. We built interior 2 x 4 and 2 x 6 framed walls along the inside of the exterior walls upstairs and downstairs. All these do not touch the brick/cinderblock exterior walls and are insulated with Owens Corning high density batts. This also made for new electrical boxes and wiring within the framed walls. Attic has R-51 insulation above the upstairs ceiling and roof has ridge vents and rafter vents are along the perimeter of the rafters in the attic. All of the soffit is new ventilated under the eaves to work in conjunction with the ridge vents. The back yard also has a new shed/storage/work building built by Amish carpenters. We are 5 minute walk from the Twinbrook Metro to downtown Washington D.C. Have high efficiency gas furnace (90+) and central air conditioning which was all updated during remodel which finished in 2011. All ducts for air and heating is new and is much larger diameter than the original. Done by professional HVAC expert who still is on call for this home. He only charges when he comes out. No service contract needed.
