    What's special

    Formerly a neighborhood grocery store (1925 - 1979). The original sign is still in place. What is now the family room was the store (325 sq. ft.). The entire room is made of wood (pine?). The planks are 2 inches wide, single boards and run from floor to ceiling and the full length of the ceiling. The original floor was concrete. We had is leveled and installed a cork floating floor. You enter the house directly from the store (up 5 steps). The entire house (with the exception of the kitchen/bathrooms) has hardwood floors and all the original light fixtures and glass doorknobs. The dining room has a built-in hutch. The kitchen has been remodeled, but replicates the style of the time it was built. The stove is a Wedgewood in very good condition. The backyard is beautifully landscaped. Solar panels (20) were installed in 2017. The warranty is transferrable. Walking distance to BART & downtown. 10 minutes to Oakland Intl. Airport.
