Near UNT. Great size (big!) and has a lot of character. I love the built in shelving. On the other hand - the price went WAY up. Used to be 940 / mo and the new ‘owner’ raised that the moment he stepped in to 1100 / mo, promising I would soon see exactly where that money is going with all the great additions and his plans to make these apts great. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. In fact quite the opposite! He did create a portal for maintenance requests, rent payment, or early lease cancellation. That’s all the portal has to offer. There is NOT a phone number anywhere, not even for emergency. Minassian clearly and sternly told myself and others that his phone is absolutely OFF LIMITS. Maintenance requests via portal are take a very very long time to be resolved. Many have been completely ignored with no explanation as to why. And if he does take action, you are not notified at all. You don’t know anything and just hope some sort of technician will arrive. IF they do it is without warning. There is one maintenance man who is really awful. He is extremely unprofessional, sloppy, and pretty clueless about what he is doing. Thank think Ara uses him because he is cheap. Cheap is right up Ara’s ally. As long as the guy can rig whatever is broken up cheaply and quickly and is working when he leaves; that is works for them. When Ara first took over, and we had to meet him, he introduced himself as Dr Ara. If you call him by Ara or anything else for that matter; you’ll be corrected. I can’t find a single medical license for him here in Texas (checked entire state) as well as California where he supposedly attended UCLA. Back to the apartment. The dumpsters in the back and front are totally full ALL THE TIME. There is no choice most of time but to just set trash bags on the ground near the dumpsters and it looks so disgustingly trashy and not to mention a constant horrendous and putrid smell. Grass in the front is constantly too tall, breaking city code and just making our complex stand out in the worst way. This apt is such a great size, it’s in a perfect location and very close to my 5yr old son’s elementary school. I REALLY REALLY do t want to move. My lease will be soon and I’m pretty positive the rent will go up even higher. Scary situation. Right now it’s almost July and my ac is going out. He did have someone come out yesterday but they flat out told me - point blank a it’s going to go back out again shortly. This was a quick fix in an emergency situation- which I was absolutely so grateful for - but as of today (next day) it’s warming up again. I’ll wrap up my note for now as there are so many things I could talk about here, I’d get carpal tunnel or something.
