    What's special

Hi everyone, My name is Edward and I'm listing my studio apartment for my landlord. She's a sweet older lady and thought I would help her out. It's a studio apartment with a full kitchen located at Albatross Street and W Laurel Street. It's about 6 blocks due west of the main entrance to Balboa Park. I think the pictures will do most of the talking but it's available on Feb 1, 2021. If this listing is up, it's still available. Rent is $1400 including utilities (except Internet/Cable) and February 1 would be the start of a new 12-month lease. I'm moving to a unit on the other side of the house. The house sits on the hill and the available studio is on the lower level, downhill side (not underground, just on the ground level on the downhill side of the house). Unlike most studios in San Diego, the unit has been recently renovated and feels modern. It's not a big place but it feels up-to-date and cozy. There is a basement with laundry machines and room for storage. The studio has its own private yard. It has heating but no air conditioning. There's a nice view of the bay from the studio's yard too. The house was built in the 1920s and it really is a pretty house. There are 4 units in the old house and like I said, I'll be moving to a unit on the other side of the house. Between the couple that would live above you and the gentleman that lives on the 2nd story, we've got a really nice community vibe here in the house. Since I'll be your neighbor, we're hoping to find someone that fits the vibe. 3 of us are young 30s and professionals. The gentleman upstairs is in his 50s and a general contractor. We are all quarantining and staying safe. It's critical that you do too since our ventilation systems are connected. Landlord has stated there is absolutely only one tenant allowed. No couples, sorry. Visitors are totally allowed of course. The unit would come unfurnished, I'm just still living here until Feb 1. If you like the furniture I have, I'm looking to sell the couch, rug, drink table, and 2 high top chairs for $300 if you're interested. One downside to the unit is the ceiling height, it's 6'6" high. But since the ceiling is smooth and painted white, it doesn't feel low. There is a cross bream between the living room and kitchen that's 6'3" that you may need to be mindful of if you're tall like me. I'm 6'5" and just learned to duck my head when crossing underneath. Landlord has said no dogs but cats are cool. Notable Extra Amenities Professionally-maintained yard and landscaping Common area with firepit On-site Laundry in basement Plenty of street parking (really) Dishwasher Rent is $1400 including utilities (except Internet/Cable) and February 1 would be the start of a new 12-month lease.
