Master bedroom has private deck and bathroom with tub. Beautiful well stocked kitchen and good layout / flow. Well maintained home, shared sunny garden space, beautifully aqua-scaped pond attracting frogs and birds, walking trails and many special napping spots. Located at the end of a private dirt road with a big lawn, surrounded by forest. If any serious interest, please read on - important disclosures and information follow! Length of lease: flexible between 4 months to 1 year, to be agreed upon. Please state your preferred length of lease in your letter of introduction. House is best suited for a single party, 2-4 people. Applications and requests for tours will not be considered without a personal note or letter of introduction. Property: Property is an ample 5 acres, with trails and private areas for each tenant. Cabins and Gazebo (in progress) are set away from the house and are off limits except for when used for inclusive community events. Maintenance / Projects: Trail making, some construction, upgrades, forest management and planting for health and diversity are ongoing on parts of the property, mostly a distance from the house. If work is needed on or near the house, workers will be respectful of your schedules and needs, and pose minimal impact. People: Caretaker & partner (contractor & handy-person) live in attached suite and are available for any emergencies, malfunctions (rare!) & repairs. Other workers and caretakers may be on the property at various times. All are respectful, low profile, amicable and wonderful and a friendly & communal atmosphere is maintained. Plenty of space for privacy or interaction as you like. You are welcome to join monthly community potlucks, and dance and music events (held elsewhere on the property) if such is offered. Furnishings: House is amply, tastefully and comfortably furnished. If you wish to bring your own furnishings, please inquire with a detailed description. Moving of furniture, if owner agrees, is to be done by Tall Trees and cost reimbursed. Care: House has only had non-smokers, and is clean and well cared for. Smoking is not permitted in the house. Pets: May possibly be considered in rare circumstances, to be discussed in detail. Utilities: are not included in rent and can run @ $100 (summer)- @$350 in the winter. Heating is infrared COVE heating, very efficient and wonderfully effective, no noise, no fans. Dump runs are needed every 2-4 weeks and run about $20-30. Shared Areas: Laundry room is in the main house and is shared. Garage is for storage for the house. Garden (work and rewards!) can be shared if you choose. (In any case, we appreciate your contributions to the compost pile!) Purified Water: Kitchen is furnished with a top-of-the-line Reverse Osmosis system, supplying the best possible purified water from our own well. Caretaker will need access to kitchen 1x per 6 months to change filters. Owner / caretaker needs access to the kitchen 1x per week for filling up water bottles with treated purified water, or tenants can fill bottles for us as needed (@ once every 10 days).
