It is a very quaint, comfortable area. Neighbors are kind and watch out for each other's homes and well being. The elementary school is excellent! There are two major grocery stores, a Target and Wal Mart, a Home Depot/Sam's Club, and all sorts of fast food establishments almost all within walking distance. Bayshore Boulevard is very close, Hwy 275/I4 are reasonably easy to reach, as is Downtown. There are several small parks in the area, as well as Ballast Point Park - where one can fish and/or watch the sunset peacefully. Saint Petersburg is a ten minute drive, the beaches are no more than 40 minutes and there is a marina just prior to the Gandy Bridge. Military/Civil Service personnel are literally a five minute drive to work.
