Available Now. Great location, on major bus lines, and easy street parking. We are working professionals in our late-twenties to early thirties looking to welcome a new housemate.! The house is spacious, clean, and fully furnished. The first floor has a formal entry foyer, a large living room with a fireplace and big screen projection, a formal dining room, an open kitchen with a family room/sunroom attached, a half bathroom, and a laundry area. We also have a few beautiful gardens, a large front porch, and a huge backyard patio with plenty of seating, a fire-pit, and a gas grill. We're respectful and fun. We enjoy hanging out together as a house from time to time, cooking, enjoying the back patio, playing chess, an evening by the fireplace, and occasionally hosting friends. We tend to keep it pretty quiet during the week but we'll have a few friends over on the weekends for a patio BBQ. The house tends towards a social dynamic but you can keep to yourself as well if that is your preference. We have a very well-behaved house cat.!! The bedroom is actually two joined rooms, has lots of space, is currently partially furnished, has hardwood floors, and a total of SIX windows providing lots of natural light. The bathroom is shared with one other housemate. Great Location: The house is a 12-minute walk from the Red Line, and several bus routes converge at the cross-street steps from the porch. These routes will take you to Georgetown, Tenleytown, Bethesda, Columbia Heights, Dupont Circle, and beyond. There is ample street parking in the neighborhood, and we share a driveway. Two blocks from the house is Cathedral Commons, which features a Giant grocery store, many great restaurants, a coffee shop, health clubs, and dry cleaners; McLean Gardens, Sidwell Friends School, and a new Wegmans and Lidl at the City Ridge complex. Hearst Park is one block away and sports a new pool, tennis courts, soccer fields, basketball courts, and playgrounds. The neighborhood is convenient and very safe. Utilities: The utilities (including water, electricity, WIFI, central air, and gas) run about $138 per month on average (sometimes a bit less, sometimes a bit more depending on the season). We have a cleaning crew for the common areas. Overall this house is a great value. If you are interested in a tour, in-person or virtual, please reach out! Easy access to Rock Creek Park, NIH, Georgetown University, American University, Bethesda, Redline Metro, Tenleytown, Cleveland Park, Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, and Glover Park. six months then month to month
