Thanks for looking! 392 Essex St is a really great building; it's historical, located in the heart of the McIntire District between the Salem Public Library and Boston Street, includes 16 apartments, and it's close to public transportation, the restaurants, shops, nightlife and all that Salem has to offer! While the building dates to the mid 1800s and is very grand, it was completely renovated in the early 2000s, so you get the best of both eras. The available apartment is a very efficient, studio unit. There are high ceilings with a ceiling fan, it's located on the second floor, with a couple of big windows and great light, an ornamental fireplace, a very functional kitchen (fridge, stove, dishwasher), and a nicely sized bathroom. The space is nicely proportioned between the space for a bed, a cooking/dining area, the bathroom and living space ... you'll be very comfortable in this apartment. There's great closet space, and the paint is reasonable fresh. You'll pay the heat (gas) and the electric, the landlord pays for the hot water. There's a coin-op laundry in the building. Rental 'off-street' parking may be available, although, 'on-street' parking (at this end of Essex Street) is plentiful and rarely if ever an issue. This apartment is best suited towards a SINGLE occupant, and you MUST be a NON-SMOKER - so please consider this before replying. One year lease would be offered after successful review of standard application
