Howdy! This is a sweet casita behind my main house in South Oak Park! Me, my partner and my bestie live in the main house and we are looking for someone to live in the casita. This person would share a backyard with us and we would love to find someone who is a good fit as we often have backyard bbqs, have nights where we set up the fire pit, etc. I have a sweet lab boxer that likes to roam around the backyard and we have chickens. The chicken coop is adjacent to the casita. The casita is a newly built studio. It has a full kitchen, full bathroom, HVAC, solar panels and is fully electric. It has a little tiny patio out front and then sits right in front of the shared patio. We planted some big plants out front of the casita to provide additional privacy. There is a way to get to the casita from the back alley, as well as the front of the house down the side of the main house. We have a number of garden beds that we would be happy to share, a fig tree, lemon tree, orange tree and attempting an avocado tree! We also have a bbq pit out in the patio. As mentioned above, we are really looking for the right person for this sweet casita! South Oak Park is a fabulous neighborhood with our neighbors being super sweet, we love it here. It is a busy area with cars, bikes, chickens, music, etc. We bike into town on our bikes all the time - we love how central it is. It probably takes 7 minutes to bike to curtis park due to the accessible highway overpass and 15-20 minutes to bike into parts of midtown. We are a couple of blocks from the highway and we frequent the grocery stores on franklin blvd just a couple of blocks away. All three of us work in the City/County and are very involved in the community. Looking forward to hearing from folks that may be interested! Renter pays for utilities, wifi and electricity on top of rent. But with Zillow the price listed includes everything except smud. Open to other lease arrangements for the right candidate i.e. month to month versus year.
