My family built a new carriage house overlooking downtown Ann Arbor earlier this year. It's in front of the house my great grandfather built a century ago. It's been in the family ever since. Both buildings are deeply personal to us. We're looking for the best person to be the first tenant of our new carriage house. Someone who will appreciate living in it as much as we value being the stewards of it. We built the outside to match the character of the Old West Side Historic District that surrounds it. Inside we built a studio apartment above a two-car garage that is 21st Century contemporary with an up-north flair. That includes a full kitchen, tile bathroom, walk-in closet with washer and dryer, large windows overlooking downtown Ann Arbor, and a stained-window framed by the front door. This carriage house is a short walk from Argus Farm Stop, Blimpy Burger, Fleetwood Diner, Washtenaw Dairy, and a host of other fun things that make downtown Ann Arbor amazing. It is easy walking distance to the University of Michigan's main campus and Michigan Stadium. It is a quick bike ride to the rest of the city. Rent is $2,100 per month with a 1.5-month security deposit. Tenant pays utilities, but we have done everything within our power to minimize that cost. Landlord takes care of landscaping. Tenants responsible for utilities. Owner pays for trash/recycling and handles landscaping.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Zillow. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
