    What's special

Bike storage in basementTwo stairways-front and back
483 Beacon is a Mid-rise Apartment building with ten stories (it is the former Hotel Cambridge built in 1895). There is an elevator and two stairways-front and back. The entire building has sprinkler system which is directly connected to the Fire Department. Beacon street overlooks the Charles River. My unit has six windows overlooking 240 degree views of the City from MIT in Cambridge to Bunker Hill, the State Capitol Dome, the Financial District, Copley Square, the Prudential Center, Back Bay and Fenway Park-baseball. Must cross Beacon Street to the Charles River reservation Park--Bicycling, Jogging, Rollerblading, Beaching on the River, Beer Garden, Esplanade with free concerts and movies etc nightly during the summer. Easy walk to the most famous universities: MIT, Harvard (or take #1 bus), North Eastern, Boston University, Mass School of Art & Design, Berklee College of Music, Emerson, etc. Walking distance or T (Metro) to dozens of famous hospitals. Bike storage in basement. I miss my apartment! $500 one time HOA move in-out fee. $500 once. $250 cleaning fee. I charge first and last months rent--no Security Deposit I recommend Renter's insurance which would cover your personal property and re-location allowance after a catastrophe --flood, fire, etc. 12 month term required by HOA. I might be able to reduce the length if I'm in the area and need to stay here. But if not then not. For example, you're a visiting professor at MIT or Harvard for just 9 months but building HOAs usually require a 12 month lease. Should I be in Boston and need a place then I'm open to an early release. That said, I have a New Hampshire property where I normally stay when I'm in New England, unless that is also rented. No pets.
