This house has been rented consistently for the past 15 years (long-term tenant) so I took this opportunity to completely spruce it up. As of today (11/4/24) it's ready to go. Fresh paint inside and out, new look for the kitchen, several new appliances, and re-vitalized landscaping. The house is solid as a rock and has been through several hurricanes with absolutely no damage. It's never even lost power (knock on wood) also, it's never flooded. Joe's Creek runs right behind it and the yard has been shaped to allow water to flow freely around the house and straight into Joe's Creek. The entire property is fenced in, however, the last renters had a large dog, rabbits, a turtle, some fish and a few guineapigs. It seemed ok at the time, but while I've been working on the house for the past few months, I found quite a bit of damage that I didn't expect. So I will only allow small dogs that don't shed very much or cats. Sorry, it's just too expensive these days to repair damage caused by animals and I'm really trying to keep the price down. I don't charge a monthly fee for pets, but I will ask for a bit extra on the security deposit. I'm actually the owner, I've had this house for about 30 years and do almost all of the repair work myself, so if you have a problem with something, most of the time I can have it fixed really quick. I've always tried to keep the rent below market and I think the house is a great value for the price. I'm hoping to find someone who loves the house and wants to stay for several years and isn't afraid to make the yard beautiful with plants or whatever, so if you like to garden, that's a huge plus! Also, I'm not gay, but I'm gay friendly and the neighbors are super friendly, hopefully you'll get to know some of them. I value the privacy of my tenants, I won't bother you or try to interfere with your life, I only ask that you understand that this house is a huge investment for me and I hope you'll respect my commitment to keeping it nice. That's about it, if you have questions, or would like to see it, just let me know. I live about 20 minutes away and will be happy to meet with you. It will probably go fast though, so if you're interested, please don't hesitate! Thanks for taking the time to look at my little rental! :) Leases for this property are typically for 1 year, however, longer lease periods sometimes up to 5 years have been accepted. I have installed cordless blinds throughout the house (except for the bathroom) the lease will require that these blinds remain in place and be replaced at the renter's expense if they become damaged, so please be gentle with them. The tenant will be responsible for all utilities for this unit. I think it's pre-wired for Fios internet. Also, the house is located in the unincorporated area of Pinellas County so you'll need an additional contract for trash pickup. I believe there are 4 companies to choose from.
