One room is available on June 1 (though a mid-May move-in can be worked out). The place is in the Santa Fe neighborhood in Oakland, 1 mile from BART and located on a bike boulevard. There is a great front porch with afternoon sun and an outdoor nook on the backside. The apartment is an upstairs 3 bedroom/2 bathroom unit. The room is roughly 10'x12', has a skylight, closet and built-in shelves for extra storage. The housemates currently are two guys. Here's a little bit about us: Aaron (he/him)- I am a Bay Area native and work as a photojournalist. I like to hike, go on photo excursions (obviously) and I am always down for a good burrito! Brian (he/him)- I am from the east coast and work at a seafood shop. I like to play music and video games. Qualities we are looking for: -Chill but responsible for themselves -Prefers nights on the quiet side. We occasionally get groups to hang out or do brunch. -Similar level of cleanliness (We try to keep dishes out of the sink and generally keep things tidy) -Values open communication. -Non-smoker Rent for the room is $1150/month + utilities (power, water, gas, high-speed internet-1000 Mbps), which is usually around $80/month. The deposit for each room is $1,500 and the sublease would be month-to-month. The house also features a front patio with raised beds, dishwasher, bike parking/storage, and on-site washer/dryer. There is no cable/TV, but there is a projector in the living room. Unfortunately we cannot accept pets at this time. If this sounds like it would be a good fit for you, please send an email to tell us a bit about yourself. Maybe a little bit about your current living situation, why you're looking for a place and what you expect from the people you would be living with. We'll get back to you to schedule a time to meet either virtually or in person to see the house. Also, please for the sake of the organization gods, change the subject of the e-mail to something unique.
