    Join the Davis Island community! We are selling our 1958 home, as we are getting “older.” This home is comfortable and comforting. Many upgrades were accomplished over the years: new roof 2023, new 4 season porch 2020, new water pipes during covid, kitchen renovation 2015, new TV room open stud renovation 2023 with new electrical circuits and LED lighting, outside painted 2025, new windows 2016, new outside LED lighting 2025. The yard is beautiful with native plants from Florida. It’s pretty impressive and attracts monarch and other butterflies along with the birds and the bees! That effort goes singlehandedly to my wife! We really enjoy sitting on the air conditioned porch and watching the action. Need exercise and want to get outside? Hop on your bike and ride a 10 mile circuit out to the Yacht Club and around the island, or walk 3 blocks to wander the Channel without getting run down by cars. Walk down to the DI “village” and have dinner. If you choose to build now or later, the 8258 square foot corner lot will be plenty of room for a house and pool. You’re lucky that there’s a Live Oak tree in the corner of the lot that won’t get in the way of construction, but you can enjoy all year round. There's plenty of parking space for your boats, RV's, or cars. Solar panels reduce the power bill by about 33%. We had 8” of water in the house during Helene. Due to the 24” crawl space, we saved the very special wood rectangular wood floors, containing 9 different kinds of wood in the living and dining room, as well as the plain oak ones in the bedrooms and hall. The bottom of the walls were rehabbed. There wasn’t a bit of damage from Milton.
