The nicest one bedroom apartment I offer. Hardwood throughout, great light, off-street parking, nice kitchen, impressive 150 year-old never-been-painted woodwork. Little porch just outside the kitchen door overlooks a nice back yard. There is laundry in the basement that is used by only this apartment. The apartment is in a glorious old home that was divided into five sensible apartments during the 1980's. Apartment has a private entry-way only steps from where you park or if you want, you can enter through the front door of the house that leads into a common hallway/foyer. Current tenant is leaving only because she and her partner have purchased a house. In order to secure this apartment, I need to see stable income of not less than $48,000/year. This number is derived using fairly standard rent/income ratios. You pay for Gas to heat the apartment, cook your food, and dry your clothes. I pay gas to heat the water. You pay electricity for your lights and outlets. According to DTE, the current monthly average for gas/electric bill is $102/month. The current tenant operates two window air conditions. There is no central air conditioning. Smoking in the house is prohibited. Renter's Insurance is required. There is a large black walnut tree that shades your parking area. for about 45 days in August to about mid-September, the tree drops wallnuts that might damage your car. During this period of time, it's OK and preferred that you pull your vehicle a little ways into the back yard to prevent the vehicle from being damaged.
