Hi, I'm Chad. I've specialized in residential rentals throughout Greater Boston for the past 20 years, so I've developed a pretty good eye for what makes an apartment truly stand out. When I decided to move closer to my son in Wakefield, I evaluated each property with the same attention to detail I give my clients. I knew exactly what I wanted and wasn't interested in settling. I honestly never expected to find a place impressive enough to make me rearrange one of the busiest weeks of my year and move on September 1. This property changed my mind, and now that I'm living here, I can confidently say I made the right decision.
Available: Now.
Here's why the property stood out to me.
To begin with, this is a brand-new, mid-sized building, which gives you the best of both worlds. You get modern construction, attractive finishes, energy efficiency, garage parking, and an elevator without the cold, impersonal feeling of a massive apartment complex. You also won't have to walk what feels like a quarter mile just to get from your car to your apartment. You simply pull into the garage, park beneath the building, and take the elevator upstairs.
The location is another major advantage. The property sits directly off Route 95 near the Lynnfield line, with convenient connections to Routes 93 and 1. Depending on traffic, Boston can generally be reached within about 30 minutes, and having several possible routes makes getting around the North Shore and Greater Boston much easier. MarketStreet Lynnfield and Whole Foods Market are right nearby, while Lake Quannapowitt and Wakefield's town center are also just a short drive away. There's even an excellent daycare close by that my son attended and that I can personally recommend.
The apartments themselves are spacious, brand-new, and very well designed. They feature high ceilings, central A/C, tremendous closet space, an impressive amount of kitchen cabinetry, and an enormous pantry. I have a lot of belongings, and nearly every other apartment I considered would have required me to rent a separate storage unit. Here, I was able to fit everything comfortably.
The kitchens are beautifully finished with quartz countertops, a deep sink, sleek stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher with hidden controls, and an extended countertop that works perfectly for bar seating. Even the refrigerator alerts you when the door hasn't been closed all the way. There are electrical outlets everywhere, and because the building has entirely new wiring, you shouldn't be tripping breakers unless you're attempting to power half the property from your apartment.
The bathroom has been beautifully finished with a modern quartz countertop. Another major benefit is the full-sized washer and dryer inside the apartment. These aren't the miniature machines often installed in apartment buildings I washed my king-sized comforter in them without any issue.
The property borders conservation land, creating a quiet, peaceful atmosphere that's difficult to find in such a convenient location. My apartment faces the rear of the building, where the wooded views make it feel as though I'm looking into my own private forest.
The balconies are also far more private than I initially expected. Because of how they're positioned, I can sit outside without looking directly at my neighbors. That level of privacy is exceptionally rare in a newer apartment building.
Electricity is the only utility paid separately, and Wakefield's municipal electric service generally offers better rates. When you combine that with brand-new construction, modern appliances, and entirely new electrical systems, utility expenses should be more manageable than they are at many older properties.
You won't find a massive clubhouse, swimming pool, or oversized fitness center here and I actually consider that an advantage. During my search, comparable properties with those amenities were typically $400 more per month, often while offering smaller apartments. I would much rather put that money toward the space, storage, privacy, quality finishes, and garage parking that I'll actually benefit from every day.
Only a small number of apartments are still available. Contact me as soon as possible to arrange a private tour. Once you see the property in person, I think you'll understand exactly why it became the clear choice for me.
