He was previously my colleague and now a good friend. - Basement is currently being renovated, so it will be brand new with its own living area, bathroom, kitchenette, and washer & dryer. - Elements that will be shared with the basement tenant include the mailbox, driveway, yard, and HVAC (the thermostat is on the main level; you will control this). - The basement has a separate entrance/exit to the rest of the house. Perks: - Monthly cleaning (bathrooms and kitchen) will be provided if allowed by the tenant - Regular yard maintenance is already established. - You will cover 70% of the home utility costs; the basement tenant will cover the remaining 30%.
