Buena Nueva consists of 25 units of permanent housing for low-income Agricultural Worker families, 10 units of housing for migrant agricultural workers, one resident managers unit and a community/tenant services facility. The project is located on the site of a former migrant farmworker camp, a 5-acre property within the unincorporated community of Buena, Washington in Yakima County.Buena Nueva provides community building; on site management office; play areas; underground sprinklers; soccer field; night lighting; site fencing; circulation sidewalks.Buena Nueva contains 36 Farmworker housing units. 26 units provide year round rental housing. The remaining 10 units provide migrant seasonal rental housing. In order to qualify a member of the household must earn at least $3000.00 annually in farmwork and meet income guidelines.This property does not have direct subsidy but offers affordable rents for low income households through the Washington State Housing Tax Credit Program.
