I am looking to sublet my AMAZING Studio/Junior One Bedroom apartment in Old Town/Gold Coast beginning January or February 2020 (flexible on the move-in date) through May 31st, 2020. I absolutely LOVE this apartment and have lived here for over 3 years. My boyfriend and I decided to get a new apartment together so that is the ONLY reason why I'm leaving. Here are just a few of the amazing features: LOCATION- The location seriously can't be beat! It's located at the corner of Clark & Burton Place (apart of the Sandburg Terrace community). It's just a 5 minute walk to all of the excitement on Wells Street, a 10 minute to North Ave Beach (you can actually see part of the lake through the huge windows), and a 10 minute walk to all that N Division Street has to offer. It is also a block away from one of my favorite streets in the city - N Dearborn Street - that has the most beautiful houses, church, and the infamous Restoration Hardware (3 Arts Club Cafe). It's also LITERALLY attached to a grocery store (Potash Market)! You barely need to go outside to get there since you can cut through the parking garage! I can't tell you how nice it is to have that perk. I will definitely miss it! WINDOWS/VIEW- The apartment has 5 huge windows along the main wall that are almost floor-to-ceiling in size (they begin about 3ft up from the ground and go all the way up to the ceiling). There's TONS of natural light and a wall of windows just makes the apartment feel 10x bigger! The view is facing north and the only building that's really "obstructing" the view is the Latin School which is more than 300ft away. CABLE/HEAT- Basic cable and heat are included in the rent. The sublessee will be responsible for the electric bill. DISHWASHER/LAUNDRY- The apartment has a dishwasher which can be very rare in studio apartments. There is also laundry available in the basement of the building. There are about 10+ washers and 6+ dryers available. It costs $.50 to wash a load and $.25 to dry. The entire laundry room- and building for that matter - are very clean! CLOSET SPACE/STORAGE- There are three closets in the apartment - two large and one small - so there is plenty of storage space! I've posted pictures of both of the large closets to show just how big they are. There is also a storage unit in the basement of the building for even extra space to store your things. Very nice to have when living in a studio apartment! TRANSPORTATION- There are two CTA bus stops- one Northbound and one Southbound- right on the corners of Clark and Burton Place. There is also the Clark/Division Red Line stop that is a little under 10 minute walk away, and the Sedgwick Brown Line stop that is about a 10 minute walk as well. GARAGE PARKING- Available for $140 a month (not included in rent). SECURITY/BUILDING MANAGEMENT- There is a doorman located at the front door from 5:00pm-10:00pm Sunday through Thursday and 5:00pm-1:00am on Fridays and Saturdays. The building is incredibly safe and the staff is amazing! So sad to say goodbye to all of them. PRICE- For $1,300.00 a month this place is honestly a steal!
