Reduced and Ready to be restored! One of the owners of this house since it was erected in 1858 was Elmira Shelton Royston, who is famous as Edgar Allen Poe's "Lost Lenore" It has had many other owners over the years, but probably remained the longest in the family of Luther Ellis, auditor of the RF&P Railroad. It is now a rooming house. Described in the National Register for Historic Places as "Lost Lenore" house with a wood frame, bell cast mansard roof (wood shingles), one attic vent dormer, three bays, one story porch with five bays, flat roof, architave frieze and roman doric columns. CA. 1858; altered CA 1876.
