Historic house in Old West Lawrence available to rent while we're on sabbatical. The house has a new kitchen sink, freshly painted kitchen/dining room, new flooring in the kitchen, and newly replaced wood floors downstairs. The master bathroom upstairs has also been redone - brand new shower, new paint, and new flooring. The house has a wonder deck, a paved patio with a great fire pit, and a fenced-in back yard. There's also a detached single car garage. The location of this house is incredible - walking or biking distance to historic downtown shops and restaurants, as well as to campus and the football stadium. We are a block from the library, outdoor city pool, and a great playground, and the river trail is a few blocks more. There are also two different bus stops, each 1-2 blocks away. The house maintains its historic character, complete with wood door framing and a built in wood hutch. Two bedrooms upstairs - the master (king bed) and another one that can have either bunk beds or a queen bed. There is central AC (and heat) but we also have window units for the upstairs bedrooms. The duration of the lease is June 1st 2022 to August 1st 2023. We require a $2,400 deposit plus any pet fees. Tenant(s) are responsible for all utilities except sanitation. Utilities are average for the area. Evergy avg. = $120/month Black Hills avg. = $35/month when warmer; $250/month when colder Mid-Continental (internet provider) = $60/month Tenants are responsible for lawn care and snow removal. There is street side parking in front of the house and designated parking in the back alley in front of the garage. One car can fit in the garage, but it's a very tight fit for most vehicles. We have a strict no smoking policy inside the residence and for smokers, we ask you to dispose of cigarette butts accordingly. We have a $25/month fee for small breed dogs, $50 for medium/large breeds. We are a dog friendly family and don't discriminate against any breeds.
