This historic house was originally the home of the Commandant of The Sloane Hospital, a Civil War Infirmary. I'm an architect and over the last 25 years have built into the home 3 wonderful furnished apartments which are filled with art from countries of the world I have traveled to and teach about. Architecturally significant about the building design are the abundance of windows, which provided sunshine and light. During the colder months I affix old fashioned storm windows to the outside, which make this apartment very warm and cozy. There are spruce floors throughout and several area rugs. The apartments are completely equipped with kitchen items, and towels, linens, pillows and blankets. I live at the property between the front apartments (first and second floor) and the back (over the garage.) This is a no smoking, scent and pet-free property. We use unscented cleaning and washing products. We are about a 10 minute walk downtown. Parking is available at the rear of the property for 1 small-medium sized vehicle for each apartment, and for one vehicle per apartment during winter parking bans. All utilities and maintenance (including plow service) are included in the rent. Occupants wash their laundry off-site. There are several very convenient laundromats close by. Each apartment has a full kitchen, equipped with an oven, microwave, toaster, fridge and coffee machines. There is a private bathroom in each unit and here is 1 gb free dual band WiFi and two signals at the property for the front and rear. This lease will be for 4 months, ending June 30 with a 60 day notice of renewal and terms of renewal by April 30.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Zillow. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
