    What's special

Dubbed "The Richest Architecture in Brooklyn" by The New York Sun (March 2007), this landmarked original is full of history and charm. Designed by noted and prolific Swedish architect Axel Hedman, who was influenced by the White Cities Movement, which came out of the world's Colombia Exhibition of 1893, in Chicago. Limestone or light colored brick or stucco became the materials of choice. This one family limestone beauty is the largest of the row houses in this line. The house sits on a lot of 18.33' X 150.58' and retains much of its original details such as plaster moldings, woodwork and inlaid floors as well as many of its original fixtures such as wall sconces, built-in-storage bench and bookcases, marble sink and door knobs. This grand house features two front parlors, formal dinning room, large eat-in-kitchen, and rarely ever found six bedrooms, three and a half baths. Included in this home are three decorative fire places, a laundry room with full size appliances, and an English basement. The house sits across the street from The Brooklyn Children's Museum and is steps from Brower Park and nearby the A, C, 3 and 4 trains. Even though the plumbing and electric have been updated this house needs a little TLC. Come be charmed and make your mark on history.
