Room details
This listing is for a spacious rooms in a historic victorian home built in 1903. The rooms are pictured furnished, however they can come unfurnished. Located 5 minutes from downtown Dallas in the Cedars neighborhood. This house is essentially a duplex but both sides are connected with a shared long hallway down the center of the home. It has all original accents including stained glass, chandelier, hardwood floors in the common areas, classic victorian pillars out front, wrap-around porch and high ceilings. The bathroom associated with these two rooms is shared with only one other person. It has a clawfoot bathtub, vintage sink, original accents. The kitchen associated with these two rooms is at the end of the hall and includes a mini-fridge, electric stove, microwave, and washer & dryer. Important to note that this laundry area will be shared with the owner who lives on the other side of the hallway. The owner is an artist/painter and ideally would like to find someone who is also involved in the arts for this space. The backyard has a fire pit and a stage, where the owner hosts musical gatherings every few months, and would love for the new tenant to be a part of them. The house is a stop on the annual tour "Cedars Open Studios" which is an opportunity to show work. The ideal roommate is someone clean, respectful, artistic, and doesn't drink/party excessively.
First we can do a 3 month lease, think of this as a trial period. If it goes well then we can reassess at that time and sign for a longer lease.
Housemate details
