Coastal Park Model with Loft, Sunroom, Screened Porch and Boat Storage – Harkers Island
Welcome to Green Peace, a cheerful custom coastal retreat located on leased Lot 88 in the gated, waterfront Harkers Island RV Resort. This 2018 park model offers one bedroom, one bathroom, a sleeping loft, an enclosed sunroom and generous screened outdoor living space—all just minutes from Cape Lookout, Shackleford Banks and the waters of Core Sound.
The sale includes the park model and existing improvements; the land does not convey. Annual lot rent is currently $6,100 and has been paid through January 2027. Secure boat-storage is also included through January 2027, subject to resort transfer policies. Resort approval and a background check are required.
Inside, the home has custom shiplap, a bright coastal character and an efficient layout that makes excellent use of the space. Three mini-split systems provide zoned heating and cooling, and the home also features an on-demand water heater. The enclosed sunroom expands the usable living area, while the loft provides additional sleeping or storage space.
Green Peace occupies a desirable back-corner site with a substantial fenced outdoor area that is especially convenient for dog owners. Outdoor features include two decks, a large recently rescreened no-see-um porch, a rock fire pit, a bar-height outdoor dining area and a storage shed for fishing equipment, beach gear and boating supplies.
Harkers Island RV Resort offers a boat ramp, marina and boat slips, fishing pier, private beach, swimming pool, two bathhouses, laundry facilities, dog park and children’s playground. It is an appealing base for boating, fishing, shelling and exploring Cape Lookout National Seashore.
Green Peace is ready for its next owner to enjoy as a coastal getaway, fishing base or low-maintenance second home.
What the owner loves about this home
What I love most about this home is that it has truly been the best little coastal retreat. The location is amazing — peaceful, beautiful, and close to everything that makes Harkers Island so special.
The home itself is lovely and easy to enjoy, with some of my favorite spaces being the screened porch, the beautiful shower with hand sprayer for sandy beach days, and the fire pit, which we have enjoyed year-round. It is the kind of place where you can start the morning with coffee on the porch, spend the day on the water or exploring, and end the evening outside under the stars.
This area is full of natural beauty. Harkers Island has dark, starry skies, wonderful wildlife, the nearby nature trail, the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum, and some of the best local food around. Between the shelling, boating, fishing, wild horses, local restaurants, and quiet coastal charm, this home has been a very special place to relax, gather, and make memories.
