We as owners have lived here in this first floor unit for the past seven years and have lovingly renovated this unit and the rest of the building to it's entirety. We are looking to rent our unit furnished with a 9 month lease with the option to extend to month-month, while we move to Yarmouth for our daughters school year.
Designed and renovated by us, Architect, Carpenter and Landscape designer, this unit features a brand-new cooks kitchen with custom cabinetry, large full-height pantry with pull out drawers, counter seating, granite countertops, under-mount double enameled sink, large 36" refrigerator with ice and filtered water, unlaquered solid brass hardware, and dovetail soft-close drawers. The adjacent dining room has a beautiful cherry dining table and milked-glass pendant. Morning light pours into the kitchen and dining room. Kitchen door leads to the newly built large cedar deck.
We have kept all of the original details of the house that bring so much charm to this apartment including solid doors and hardware, built-in pantry in the dining room, steam radiators (this is one of the best features of the home), red oak hardwood flooring that was refinished, and high ceilings! This apartment is the best of both worlds providing beautiful and functional upgrades all while maintaining the warmth of an old home.
The spacious one bathroom is brand-new and features heated porcelain floors, Carrara marble counter top, deep tub/shower, high ceilings, large steam radiator and overhead lighting. The bathroom and primary bedroom are tucked in a private corner of the house with it's own hallway with a ceiling-high deep closet.
There are two bedrooms. The primary includes a large ceiling-high pine wardrobe, Queen Organic Avocado mattress and pine bed frame and two western facing windows. The smaller bedroom (or office) features a deep closet and one western facing window.
The living room is southern facing and beams with light throughout the entire day and is wonderful in the winter months. The front entry is spacious with washer/dryer and coat/shoe closet and enters into the living room.

Just two miles from downtown (5-10 minute drive), we are in the "Pocket" neighborhood - a friendly, laid-back micro-neighborhood nestled between Woodfords Corner and Back Cove (arguably the best neighborhood in Portland). The house is just a short walk to the Back Cove Trail, Baxter Woods, Heseltine park and playground, and Ocean Avenue Elementary School and playground (a top rated Portland school). Nearby eateries in walking distance include Tipo, Woodfords F&B, Big Sky Bakery, Coveside Coffee, Belleville, Rose Foods, Sammy's scoops, Speckled Ax Coffee.

The driveway will be dedicated to this unit, but during snow bans we would kindly ask you to coordinate with the other tenants to let them park in the driveway with you. Alternatively, there is free overnight parking during snow bans at the Elementary school one street over.
We have kept our home rigorously scent and chemical free for the entirety of our time here and have maintained a regular deep-cleaning schedule. We have two cats, so if you are allergic this might not be the best fit for you.
